David Debono

David is a figurative artist, living and working in Gozo, Malta. He began his artistic journey at a very young age, and eventually furthered his studies under the mentorship of World Class artists in Italy and the USA.

His inspiration comes from the simplicity of everyday life especially that of his homeland, which David turns into poetic, and symbolic pieces. Through his art David always manages to captivate his audience, evermore so in his unique style of his monochromatic figurative oil paintings. Throughout the years, he has disciplined and ‘signatured’ his paintings as one of the great idiosyncratic talent of contemporary art.

His preferred mediums are oils and charcoal. His work has been exhibited in various galleries on both home soil and abroad, and his work is enjoyed in both local and foreign private collections.
